Badger Pass is the original California Ski area, located just a few miles from the south entrance to Yosemite National Park on Glacier Point Road. Badger Pass is an ideal place for families to learn to ski and have fun in the snow as 85% of the slopes at Badger Pass are devoted to beginner and intermediate skiers.

Badger Pass Facts

• Open daily from 9:00 am to 4pm

• Season is generally mid-December to late March or early April, weather permitting

• 10 runs: 35% beginner, 50% intermediate, 15% advanced

• 5 lifts: 1 triple-chair, 3 double-chair, 1 cable tow

• Elevation - 7,200 ft to 8,000 ft, vertical drop - 800 ft.

• Average Temperature range - 30' to 60' Fahrenheit

Badger Pass also offers a Ski School, snowboarding, tubing, snow shoeing, ski shop, lockers and dining.

Activities at Badger Pass

In addition to the skiing and snow shoeing trails, Badger Pass offers several guided snowshow walks. These walks last approximately two hours and are offered several days each week throughout the season. Snow shoe walks leave from the Badger Pass Ranger Station. There is no rental fee for these walks, but there is a suggested $3 maintenance fee.
