Hearst Castle Experience tour is the recommended tour for a first-time visit to Hearst Castle. It provides a broad overview of the Castle, and lasts 1 hour and 45 minutes including the bus ride from the Hearst Castle Visitor Center. On the Hearst Castle Experience tour, you will visit the esplanade and gardens, the indoor Roman pool, Casa Del Sol (the 18-room guesthouse facing the Pacific), the outdoor Neptune pool, and five of the ground floor rooms of Casa Grande - the main house. During the Hearst Castle Experience tour, you will also view the National Geographic companion movie, "Hearst Castle - Building the Dream."

Piedras Blancas Elephant Seal Rookery is a spectacle that must be seen. Hundreds of elephant seals lined up on the beach, basking in the midday sun, are a wonder of nature that you won’t soon forget.
